WHERE DOES THE $ GO?

JOA is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization.  All money collected through JOA is donated to other qualified 501(c)3 organizations that search for a cure to Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy ~DMD ~  and Juvenile Diabetes.

Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy or PPMD

  Founded by Pat Furlong after her 2 sons died in their teens from DMD in the early 90’s.  Pat is a pioneer in the advocacy of Duchenne’s. She is an amazing woman whom Tony and I are extremely grateful for.  She literally has moved mountains through her determination to End Duchenne.  We urge you to visit their website at www.parentprojectmd.org.   PPMD spends its money directly on all avenues for a cure to this evil disease. 

MDA

  Jerry Lewis has done for Muscular Dystrophy what Oscar Meyer has done for Bologna – he has brought much needed attention to this horrible disease, not only DMD but the 40 neuromuscular illnesses that the MDA supports.  The MDA funds research for each of these illnesses as well as provides financial assistance for those affected with them.  Please check out www.mda.org for details

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

  JDRF is the leader in research leading to a cure for type 1 diabetes in the world.  It sets the global agenda for diabetes research, and is the largest charitable funder and advocate of diabetes science worldwide. With each of these organizations as well as our own, a small % of all funds need to be reserved for operational costs.  However they are very small.  You can be sure that all $ you donate today will get into the hands of scientists that are urgently searching for a cure!
